20th October 2018 (Updated 11th January 2021) These conditions have been introduced for the following reason. Several small Paypal purchases resulted in claims of non-arrival by the purchasers who then made claims directly through Paypal without advising me first. The claims made were from different countries but from a particular section of the world community, mostly living outside their countries of origin. Because the order values were very low - less than 5.00 GBP each - the orders were mailed by ordinary airmail and a Certificate of Posting - i.e proof that the letter had been mailed at a UK Post Office, was obtained. PayPal insist of proof of delivery, not proof of posting, so the claims of non-arrival receive the benefit of the doubt and a refund is made to the claimant. The PayPal website states the following: "There are many reasons why a buyer's legitimate address may be Unconfirmed. For example: Buyer may have recently added the new address to the PayPal account. The buyer lives in a country where address confirmation is not available. When a Confirmed Address isn't available, it's always a good idea to take extra steps to ensure that you are shipping the item to the PayPal account holder. You may consider contacting the buyer to confirm their purchase and validate their shipping address." (Please note that at this time, only addresses in Canada, the United Kingdom and United States can be Confirmed by Paypal.) 1] UK orders - no minimum order value - Postage for order values under £24.99 is £2.50. A postage refund via PayPal may be made at my discretion.e.g. when postage requires only a 1st class stamp. Orders might be sent by 'Recorderd Delivery' and a signature obtained by Royal Mail on receipt. Proof of posting is always obtained. Mailing addresses are always validated on the Royal Mail website. Orders may be refused at my discretion and Paypal payments refunded. 2] Orders from European countries. - Minimum PayPal order, £5.00 GBP - Postage £2.50 Sent by ordinary airmail. Buyers making small orders for the first time may be contacted by email and asked to confirm their mailing address. Small orders may be refused at my discretion, and Paypal payments refunded. Orders valued above £29.99 and weighing up to 100 gms - post free and might be sent by either 'Signed For' or 'Tracked and Signed For' air mail requiring signature on delivery. Orders with values lower than £29.99 may also be sent by registered (Tracked and Signed For) airmail on payment of 5.00 GBP which will be invoiced by Paypal. 3] Orders from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Israel, Minimum PayPal order, £5.00 GBP . Postage £2.50 Sent by ordinary air mail Buyers making small orders for the first time may be contacted by email and asked to confirm their mailing address. Buyers making orders for the first time will be contacted by email and asked to confirm their mailing address. Registered postage costs will be billed separately by Paypal invoice and orders will not be dispatched until these invoices have been paid. Orders may be refused, and PayPal payments refunded. Note that the above conditions apply only to PayPal orders made by clicking on PayPal buttons. The item is only handed over once it has been signed for. Letters may be sent up to 100g, parcels up to 2kg and Printed Papers up to 5kg. Speed All our tracking and signature services aim to deliver to Europe within 3-5 working days and worldwide within 5-7 working days. (N.B. My experience shows that items may be delayed for several days in the destination country mail centres, particularly the USA and Canada, and items may take between 10 and 14 days to arrive.) Security Tracking and Signature items are processed in a separate network while they’re in the UK. We provide proof of posting Signature on delivery A signature is taken on delivery for items sent using International Tracked & Signed and International Signed.
