The Revenue section has been split into two pages in order to speed downloading.
Iraq is on page 1, other countries are on page 2. Just click on blue links on either page to navigate between countries.
The pages are meant to be reference pages for collectors as well as sales lists, therefore stamps illustrated might not always be available for purchase. The reference numbers used in the Iraq section are from Ross and Powell 2002 "Revenues of Iraq" catalogue - available from Magan Stamps @ £28.00 +p/p.
You will need no telling that some unmounted never-hinged revenue stamps from Arabia are very difficult to find and can be expensive to buy when tracked down. This problem - or challenge - is being exacerbated by the increasing popularity of revenue collecting. When browsing through the list click on the thumbnails to see larger than lifesize images. Hopefully recent & new issues will be available in quantities with the probable exception of the hideously expensive top value Kuwait hologram issues. Kurdish revenue stamps used in Kurdish Iraq which were issued in 2001 are included in the list under 'Kurdistan'. Unless described as um/mnh the stamps offered are fu/u/unused.

King Faisal II 5 Fils surcharged 2 Fils. Due to the shortage of the 10 Fils stamps of this series [RP194 orange] which were surcharged "Save Palestine"and the availability of large quantities of 8 Fils [RP193 red] the 2 Fils surcharge was overprinted on these 5 Fils stamps so that they could be used in conjunction with the 8 Fils and applied to documents which by law required a minimum of 10 Fils tax. Documents exist which prove this.
The overprint is not a single line error as shown in R&P. catalogue.

"Fight Cancer".
Six stamps of same design but different colours. Printed se-tenant throughout the sheet. [See end stamps in picture]. Information gleaned about this issue so far is that in 1961 a society was established for research into cancer, and the management requested permission from the government to help raise funds for research by applying stamps to medical prescriptions. The stamps were printed during 1961 in Iraq by Ramzy Establishment for Technical Printing.They have been found used on prescriptions dating from 1967 to 1969. More information will be published when received. Available as singles, se-ten pairs, and blocks of four pro-rata.

There are two distinct shades of this stamp. Close inspection reveals that the darker stamp is on a different paper and has no 'hatching' in the background blocks of the Arabic at the top and bottom of the stamp. [picture]. This could be due to over-inking during the print run,or perhaps the paper is more absorbent than that used for the lighter stamp. Both shades are available in um/mnh blocks of 4 and only the darker stamp as mint singles. Both are available as used singles.. used £5.00....$8.25....€ 8.25

Size 6.3cm X 8.3cm - 2.5ins X 3.25ins. This large 250 Dinar stamp was used during 2001 and the date on the only used ticket so far obtained is 28 November 2001. Apparently a white printed label was used either prior to or at the same time of the introduction of this stamp. Information received suggests that this stamp will be discontinued in favour of the smaller stamp [see below]
Indications are that this stamp will become rare. Only one um/nh and one used seen so far.

2002..AP17....250 Dinar Baghdad Airport departure tax stamp affixed to airline tickets for domestic flights. Judging from the limited of number of tickets so far obtained it would seem that a one-way ticket has a 250D stamp applied and a return ticket either 2 X 250D or one 500D. These flights are illegal inasmuch that their route is through the southern US/UK patrolled 'no fly zone' imposed after the Iraqi forces attacked the Shia Muslims and Marsh Arabs.
Available um/mnh and also used on complete used Iraqi Airways passenger tickets.

2002..AP18....500 Dinar Baghdad Airport departure tax stamp affixed to Boarding Passes. The only examples so far obtained have been from Saddam International Airport [Baghdad]. The passes so far obtained have a handstamp showing Saddam International Airport Exit handstamp, so were the revenue stamps affixed only on boarding passes for flights to Jordan? As far as I can ascertain the only external passenger flights from Iraq are to Amman. Each Boarding Pass has 2 stamps applied - total of 1,000 Dinars.
A few passes available, some with both stamps intact, others with one intact and other stamp torn.

2002?..Unlisted....Lawyers Association Pension Fund 100 Dinars overprinted in black on unissued? 25 Dinars stamp. Evidence of use on documents trying to be obtained, but the stamps are definately in current use. We are also trying to discover if the 25 Dinar stamp was ever used without the overprint.
